Purpose Unfolds

Two words that have never strayed from my mind. These words were wisely gifted to me by my spiritual big brother, and I now grasp what he meant. Like many people who desire to please Jesus, we often wonder what our purpose or calling is. Our hearts cry out, “Lord, show me what you want me to do or who you want me to be!” I understand, I’ve been there.

I won’t claim to have the perfect answer, but I hope it helps in some way. See, well, purpose unfolds. What I mean is that as you continue living to please Adonai by faith, what He has you to do will be revealed.

  • Living to please Adonia - Read and study the Scriptures, but then do what the Scriptures say. Model your life as best as you can to Christ’s example. Use your gifts, talents, interests, time, treasure, mind, and body to glorify Him and do good works to your neighbor.

  • By faith - You will falter, stumble, mess up, go the wrong way, make the wrong decision, pick the incorrect choice…you will sin! Look to the life of Jesus. Look to the cross. Look to the empty tomb. Rest in the life and work of the King, and press on in faith.

  • What He has you to do will be revealed - When I took time to really think about my life, I realized I’ve always been a writer. My mom is a go-getter, went back to finish college, and owned a business, I relate to that. For some reason, I’ve always considered myself a leader, probably get it from admiring my father. Until recently, I never had anyone take extra time to disciple or mentor me; I wish I had that earlier life, so now I want to be that for others. I share these thoughts because my purpose of being an author, poet, business owner, and pastor was all slowly revealed as I lived for Christ.

Keep praying, keep seeking, keep serving, keep loving. Your purpose will unfold. Welcome to Royalty Lane Publishing. Grace and peace.
